Republic of Texas Project Guidelines

You will be working in groups of 2-3 people to create a presentation on the Republic of Texas.

Your presentation should include the following information:

• Dates of the Republic
• How Sam Houston (1st president) and Mirabeau B. Lamar (2nd president) differed on the following issues: Native Americans, location of the capitol, annexation, the republic's finances, relations with Mexico.
• Include at least one map showing the borders of the Texas Republic.
• Some at least 2 of the problems Texas faced as a Republic. 
• Anson Jones (4th president)
• Why and by what methods Texas became a state (annexation).

Your grade will be determined by:
1. Daily grades will be given for individual participation while researching information and creating the presentation with your group.
2. Presentation will count as a test grade (Rubric to follow)

DUE DATE: Presentations will begin on Monday, February 14th!

2) Gather all of your information before beginning your presentation!
3) Presentation methods - Glogster, Go Animate, iMovie, Google Docs Presentation, Keynote, Xtranormal.
