 1. Choose a topic from the suggested ones below. (or you may come up with your own, but it must be approved by me)

• Edmund J. Davis

• Impeachment of Andrew Johnson
• Sharecropping
• Juneteenth Celebrations
• Construction of the Railroad in Texas
• First African Americans to serve in Texas state government

2. Write 3 higher level questions to guide your research. (Most good research questions start with "how" or "why")

3. Answer all 3 questions through your research.

4. Create a visual way to present your research findings to the class.

5. Cite your sources. You must use at least 3 sources of information. (Google is not a source, you may use Wikipedia as one of your sources, you may not use Ask.com as one of your sources.)
